I bent it back and it looks fine now. So with that out of the way, here's a story.

We had a 17" aluminum wheel repaired for a Dart owner today and as I was pulling my car out of the shop, my manager told me the customer was here and he wanted me to put her wheel on. Now bear in mind I'm a detailer, not a tech, but I can do basic stuff like this. Anyway, I pulled my car out, put her's on the same lift, and swapped the wheels with ease. I get in the car, go to start it, and it tells me the fob isn't in the vehicle. I get out, grab my jacket off the work bench figuring the key was in the pocket, and I get back in the car and try to start it again. Same thing, no key detected. So me, my manager, and every tech in the shop are go crazy looking for it. We looked every damn where, in the car, around it, under it, in the trunk, around the rest of the shop. No fucking key. I retraced every step I took. Finally, someone touches the door handle and the car unlocks. If you're not familiar with the keyless entry on Chryslers, if you touch the inside of the door handle it senses your hand there and unlocks the car if you have the key on you. So the key is somewhere close but we still don't see it. Finally we put the car back up on the lift and sure enough the key is underneath the middle of the car. I was having such a good day, capped off by 30 minutes of a mini heart attack.

Haha, I'm not old, but some new cars key less entry systems confuse the hell out of me

Heh, glad it worked out for ya.

We had an advisor lose keys once, and she had to pay for them, the fobs, and the house keys on it.

Story: At the time we were swapping out old PC's and had a recycling company come and drop a couple large cardboard containers with open tops near the service drive (the only place with enough room). Next to the containers was an accessory display, and next to that, a tire rack. So the car is completed, and the tech drops the keys on the advisor's desk. She then completes the paperwork, puts the keys on the paperwork, and walkes up tot he cashier, across the service drive. BUT, instead of walking AROUND all the obstacles aforementioned like every other advisor is doing, but her narrow ass decided to try it.

Fast forward a couple hours, after new keys were made since they were NOWHERE to be found, and we're watching the security cameras.... and I decide to check the boxes.....

Sure enough, when squeezing past the keys slid off the paperwork and into the pile of old computers.

We didn't have any in stock or I probably would have had to pay for it. And then we would have pulled it out of the shop and saw it laying on the ground.

the whole lock the doors no matter what feature, really sucks. I started a jeep heap and drove it up to the garage door, got out to open said door. the jeep closed by gravity and i was locked out, while it is running. -5* outside. Fuck.

Good thing they are easy to break into.

I'm pretty sure my 3 year old cousin knows how to break into a Wrangler. Anyways, I like how my car only locks when I want it to. Instead of locking if you walk 3 feet away from it.
